Geely Auto Australia the 9th best-selling car brand in Australia in August

Geely Auto Australia has become the ninth best-selling automotive brand in August, recording 4,504 sales and more than ten times its August 2025 volume1.
Less than 18 months after entering the market, all three locally available Geely models placed within Australia's top 20 best-selling vehicles (406 models in total), underscoring strong demand across its growing electrified line-up.
The Geely EX5 placed seventh overall with 1,947 sales, while the recently launched Geely EX2 and Starray EM-i placed nineteenth and twentieth, recording 1,279 and 1,278 sales respectively.
The Geely EX5 remained the brand’s highest-selling model, accounting for more than four in ten of the brand’s August sales and securing a position among Australia’s ten most popular vehicles.
Following its mid-July launch, the Geely EX2 already contributed more than one in four Geely sales in August. Together, the Geely EX2 and Geely EX5 accounted for over 70% of the brand’s monthly result, reflecting overall industry uplift for BEV models.
An all-wheel-drive variant of the Starray EM-i was announced this week and is expected to arrive in dealerships nationwide in the coming weeks. Geely will continue to expand its local range, with further model launches planned throughout 2027.
